Modded Darkest Dungeon Crashing in the Warrens - A Growing Concern

As fans of modding our games, we're no strangers to tweaking and customizing our gaming experiences to suit our preferences. However, it's becoming increasingly frustrating for those who have invested heavily into modding their copy of Darkest Dungeon, particularly since the release of the Crimson Court expansion (CoM).

It seems that many players are experiencing crashes and instability issues while playing with a large number of mods enabled. This is particularly concerning given the fact that the game was already poorly optimized before CoM's release, and subsequent patches have seemingly made things worse.

The problem isn't necessarily a mod limit per se, but rather a data limit. As a result, players who used to be able to run campaigns with multiple mods enabled are now finding themselves unable to do so, even with half the number of mods they previously used.

While it's understandable that some players may not experience these issues, for those who do, it can be extremely frustrating and even lead to abandonment of their modded playthroughs. Hopefully, enough word will get around about this problem and the developers at Red Hook Studios can dedicate resources to finding a solution.

In the meantime, fans of Darkest Dungeon are left to continue searching for workarounds and testing different combinations of mods to find what works best for them. It's a shame that such a fantastic game has been hampered by these optimization issues, but here's hoping that the community can band together to help find a solution.
